Outstanding addition to the series!

I always enjoy anything written by Tymber Dalton, and this one did not disappoint me. Her Suncoast series is my favorite and it was great to revisit the characters from the previous books. The story begins with Laura in a coma after being brutally attacked in her home, surviving only because the killer was interrupted by her neighbor. She wakes up to discover her memory is gone and she doesn't know who she is. She doesn't recognize Rob, her fiance, or any of their friends.There aren't any big surprises in the book and it's not a stretch to figure out who the bad guy is. What makes this book outstanding to me is the author's ability to draw you in to the lives and feelings of the characters. I literally shed tears for Rob's pain for Laura's injuries and the loss of the Laura who used to be. I felt the frustrations Laura lived with in trying to remember who she was and who she had been. The best of it all was that in spite of the amnesia, Laura still felt the connection and love between Rob and her and she struggles with the "something no one is talking about" missing piece of their lives. Which, of course, is their BDSM lifestyle. I love the erotica genre and the lifestyle is an integral part of the story. That said, this book would have been a 5 star read for me had it been "vanilla". THAT is what I love about TD's books! Also, I rarely give a 5 star rating. To me, that means a book will stay with me and be put in that exclusive category of "I"m saving this one to read over and over when I retire". This one was a high 5, IMHO. Well done, Tymber! You write them and I will read them!

Not Tymber's best work

I loved the plot behind this book. The idea was unique and well thought out. The execution, not so much. First off, this book should have been max of maybe 300 pages, not the over 400 it is. There was too much filler without enough continuation of the story line. From the moment Rob decides not to tell her about the BDSM aspect of their relationship or even mention the necklace she's missing I knew it was going to be all about finding that connection for her to feel more secure in them. That took over half the book! Meanwhile it takes until the last 5% of the darn book before the killer even makes the move to finish her off. Was Laura's recovery important to the story, definitely! Did it need 350 pages, I don't think so.

Also, whoever edited this book should be shot. There are so many bad words, typos and even in many place wrong names used that I was horrified when I checked the publishers site and found out they do offer editors to their authors. Whoever got paid to edit this one did NOT do their job. I love Tymber Dalton, however, I don't know how much more of this series I'll be able to read if they are as horribly done as this one. Tymber is usually a must buy, must read for me (granted it may take me a while to get there) but this one was just hard to get past all the errors.

Love Remembered

Pinch Me by Tymber Dalton was a enjoyable read for me. The H/h characters were well developed and presented in a reasonable, true to life way. The supporting characters were fun, and it was good to catch up on their lives too. It always amazes me how cool and together Tony is.. He is such a go to guy, the man with the answers, the logical point of view, the voice of reason.

The author did not rush the recovery of Laura's brain injury and amnesia, and it was much more realistic and added credibility to the story line. I felt for both Rob and Laura, as they wondered if they would still be a couple on the way to the altar, let alone still be in a D/s relationship during Laura's recovery, and discovery of her life all over again.

For me the two things would have moved this story closer to a 5 star read, they were more suspense from the person staking Laura, and a little less apologizing between out H/h. Other then this I have respect for the story, the characters and the author. A nice job, Tymber. I hope we'll get to see Rob & Laura in future SunCoast books, so we can see how their life pans out too.

About the Author
Gilbert H. Muller, who received a Ph.D. in English and American Literature from Stanford University, is currently professor of English and Special Assistant to the President at the LaGuardia campus of the City University of New York. He has also taught at Stanford University, Vassar College, and several universities overseas. Dr. Muller is the author of the award-winning Nightmares and Visions: Flannery O’Connor and the Catholic Grotesque, Chester Himes , and other critical studies. His essays and reviews have appeared in The New York Times, The New Republic, The Nation, The Sewanee Review, The Georgia Review, and elsewhere. He is also a noted author and editor of textbooks in English and composition, including The Short Prose Reader with Harvey Wiener, and with John A Williams, The McGraw-Hill Introduction to Literature, Bridges: Literature across Cultures, and Ways In: Reading and Writing about Literature. Among Dr. Muller’s awards are National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowships, a Fulbright Fellowship, and a Mellon Fellowship.

Harvey S. Wiener is currently affiliated with Marymount Manhattan College after serving as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at Adelphi University. Previously University Dean for Academic Affairs, the City University of New York, he was founding president of the Council of Writing Program Administrators. Dr. Wiener is the author of many books on reading and writing for college students and their teachers, including The Writing Room (Oxford, 1981). He is co-author of The McGraw-Hill College Handbook, a reference grammar and rhetoric text. Dr. Wiener has chaired the Teaching of Writing Division of the Modern Language Association (1987). He has taught writing at every level of education from elementary school to graduate school. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Brooklyn College, he holds a Ph.D. in Renaissance literature. Dr. Wiener has won grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education, and the Exxon Education Foundation.

Renting vs. Buying

I tried renting for the first time. I don't know if it is the best way to go. I feel as though I need to put the book in some sort of protective case. Also, the professor wants us to write in the book for reference. So, I guess it all depends on the class and how good you are at taking care of your book.

Great Stories in here

The book was a requirement for one of my classes, but after reading several of the short essays, I began to enjoy the book. I would recommend it to anyone, even a teenager who needs ideas for writing papers. The essays are short and easy to read, yet make for amazing dialogue.

It had very little high light and also pen marks with bended pages.
It was most definitely a deal though i bought it for a really cheap price
i can still read over the text no pages missing.

Fascinating!

At first I thought this book was going to focus on the psychological thriller genre, but it goes way beyond that. The book is about "psychological science fiction," and it analyzes the ways that movies use psychological ideas in their plots and characters. I found it very easy and enjoyable to read. It's not a text book, nor is it a heavy academic study. It's a light read on a very interesting subject. I think that anyone interested in film - especially film and media studies students - will find this book fascinating. I found the book very useful as a film grad student doing research on horror, thriller, and sci-fi genres. Highly recommended!

Greatest Biblical Resource ever printed

The Complete Biblical Library

Only the New Testament half is being sold here but this review is for both the Old and New Testament sets.

I bought this set soon after it was published (at a far less expensive price than what is offered for it these days) and have learned more about the Scriptures through using it than through any other reference work I have ever come across.

This reference works like this (using the New Testament half as an example): There are several volumes that have every New Testament book/epistle with every word of that epistle in Greek with a number associated with that Greek word, its usage in Greek grammar, and a direct English translation underneath. There are also some very short commentary remarks that follow the epistle. Those remarks are found on the opposite page of the Greek presentation. These volumes also give information about the history of the ancient Greek versions in existence (as they relate to that particular epistle). There are other volumes that make up their Greek-English Dictionary. These are best used when you have a question about a particular word found within one of the epistle volumes. Having the number of that word, you can easily look it up in the Dictionary. That Dictionary not only defines the word but also gives it various uses and will point to the precise use in the epistle you are studying.

A short and simple example:

Acts 6:4 (each Greek word of that sentence is given)

The short commentary for Acts 6:4 says, "Choosing the 7 would enable the 12 apostles to give themselves to prayer and the ministry [ministration; Greek diakonia, the same word used in verse 1 for the daily ministration to the widows] of the Word. The apostles would serve the Word, while the seven served tables."

One word in that sentence is "but":
"1156.2 (dictionary number)
conj (language usage)
de (the Greek word - only better)
de (the English transliteration)
but (English translation)"

1156.2 in the Greek-English Dictionary:

There is also a single "Harmony" volume in the N.T. Set.

Note: The O.T. half of the set works in the same way as presented above.

As you can see, this set is absolutely invaluable for the Serious Bible student. Since this full set has been out of print for several years, they have become rather expensive. Nevertheless, if you are a Serious Bible student, and you can scrape together the money, it will be well worth it. However, if you are not delving into The Scriptures on a daily or weekly basis, this is probably too intricate (and too expensive) for your use.

This set stopped being printed several years ago, not because of any problem with the information but rather because of a lack of sales. There, apparently, simply were not enough people interested in actually studying the Bible for this work to stay in print.

I give these sets (Old and New Testament volumes) the highest praise I can give a Biblical reference work. This deserves far more than 5 Stars.

Excellent self contained set

I bought this two years ago. It is a great set for introduction to study the Bible scholarly. The editors' philosophy was to provide a self contained set for a layman to study the Bible seriously. It includes Greek-English interlinear, commentary, textual criticism, dictionaries with a unique numbering system, grammar book for Greek.
